Thanks Bill Mitchell for taking a picture of most of the group.

One of our attendees brought a special “toy” for all to enjoy.  It was a NASA quality telescope.  Thanks to our Michigan visitors – Chris and Gwen Adomaitis and their wonderful kids for setting up and sharing their telescope.

Everyone got a chance to view the eclipse as it happened.  You could even take a picture with your smart phone using the telescope…  all focused and with the correct filter.

Some had fun in the sun waiting for it to disappear.  Getting your rays totally.

What we saw as it started.

and then the crickets started chirping.  It was totality.  Amazing.  The diamond ring.

As one woman said, the light was like a 360 degree sunset.  The sun was gone but there was soft light all around.  The eclipse glow.
